Conventional Raiseboring

In the conventional raiseboring process, the pilot hole is drilled down to a lower level in the mine or civil project.

Following the spudding in process, the conventional raiseboring process will commence and broken rock or ‘cuttings’ will fall to the lower level by gravity, and the drill string will remain in constant tension whilst being rotated in order for it to drill at optimum stability and safety.
